Chapter 24 and 25 Questions
1) Who are Tainor and Lurai, and why did Rontu hide from them?
2) Who made up Karana's new family?
3) Why did Karana change the otter's name to Won-a-nee?
4) What made Karana decide never to kill another animal?
5) Why did the herd of otter leave Coral Cove in the summertime? And what does it mean when they no longer leave the cove in the summer?
6) How did Karana keep track of the days and years she lived alone on the island?
7) Rontu went off and did not return. Where did Karana find him and in what condition?
#1 Trainor and Luria are Karanas pet birds and Luria had baby birds. They were making a nest and Rontu was hiding because whenever Rontu wasn't looking Trainor and Luria wound snatch a beakful of fur and would add on to their nest.

ReplyDeleteshe changed it to that name became it was a girl not a boy and she knew that because she was taking care her baby's. won-a-nee means girl with the big eyes. :)
